MKF Ventures Joins the Conversation on the Future of Venture Capital in Peru

MKF Ventures participated in "A Look at Investment: VC Report 2025 and Entrepreneurial Capital Assessment," an event organized by PECAP and COFIDE that brought together key stakeholders from Peru's entrepreneurial ecosystem to discuss the current state and future of venture capital in the country.

Representing MKF Ventures, Jose Garcia Herz, Managing Partner, took part in the event as part of the dialogue around the opportunities and challenges shaping the next stage of Peru's innovation ecosystem.

During the event, PECAP and COFIDE presented the VC Report 2025 and the Entrepreneurial Capital Assessment, highlighting key findings on the evolution of Peru's venture capital market. Among the report's main insights is an estimated US$516 million funding gap over the next five years, underscoring the need to mobilize more local capital, strengthen public-private collaboration, and expand funding opportunities for high-potential startups.

The discussions also emphasized the importance of increasing participation from domestic investors, improving startups' investment readiness, and fostering stronger connections between entrepreneurs, investors, and institutions to support sustainable ecosystem growth.

Events like these play a key role in bringing together the public and private sectors to strengthen Peru's venture capital ecosystem. MKF Ventures is proud to contribute to these conversations and to support initiatives that help create more opportunities for founders across the region.
